Hi Captains and Secretaries
2006 Autumn Interclub Competition
THIS NOTE refers to those teams who requested to play in Divisions 2 and 3.
As there are not sufficient entries to make a practical event for each of Division 2 and 3, we are trying a new concept. This is where the Autumn competition is run in two rounds - first one round where all 9 teams play against one another, followed by:
| 1. | A second round draw only between the top placed teams |
| 2. | And a separate draw for the remaining teams. |
The determination of which second round draw a teams goes into will depend upon their points placing in the first round.
Therefore the top 4 (or 5 depending upon the margin between the top and bottom teams) have a new draw between themselves to arrive at the two finalists. And the bottom 4 (or 5) teams have a similar draw to arrive at their two finalists.
Every team will have the opportunity to play both stronger and weaker teams in the first round, followed by a draw where they meet teams of a similar standard.
